This course would aim to look at how an architecture framework or a good reference architecture background can help turn the humongous task of defining security boundaries across multiple layers an achievable task instead of not knowing where the nebulous nature of the cloud would take us. The cloud is nebulous in nature as there are multi boundaries, many tenants, noisy neighbors and domains all intersecting at the same time. If there is a structure and the boundaries are known then we could gain easy traceability to define the amount of work needed to plug the cloud boundaries and secure them. Reference architecture and EA frameworks help you to gain substantial foothold to have control on the enemy out there. It is like expecting anything to go wrong but not knowing where to
start. EA Frameworks and Security Frameworks when used together with ISO 27001 control objectives can help create a web of security which can serve as a good traceability mechanism.
